A time to reflect...

It seems like everyone is reflecting on 2010. I was going to write this blog post yesterday but just didn't. Guess I could have while I spent the last 2 hours of 2010 sitting on the couch waiting for the ball to drop next to my sleeping husband. It was a quiet New Years Eve for us. That was fine me, but it's always nice to celebrate the New Year.

So back to reflecting - 2010 was a good year for me. My kids grew to a healthy age 4 and 1, I started a new publication and made some awesome contacts and friends as it developed, I started a radio show that ended the year as an hour long live show and I started working with Tera Busker of Fitness to Go and Lisa Kolashinski of Physicians Weight Loss Center. I'm sure there's plenty along the way that I've missed.

I do thank God today for my husband, my two healthy kids, a wonderful supportive family and all around great life. I really can't complain and have to pinch myself when it doesn't seem real. Sometimes I don't feel like I deserve it so I keep thanking God every chance I get.

Since my last post, I've done much better. I'm still having some sour stomach issues so I'm thinking I might have some kind of bug that isn't leaving and keeps messing with me. My "aunt" also decided to visit so that doesn't help my over all feeling. And remember how scared I was to go in and see Lisa. Well it turned out that it wasn't so bad. I lost a little bit of fat mass and I gained some muscle which means I did gain some weight, but that is OK. I'm so determined to get down below 160 by the end of this next week!!! I seem to be stuck at around 160-162.

Now let's get to the resolutions - or maybe goals is a better word to use. Seems like resolutions equal failure so we will use goals. I love the word goal!
My children: I really need to pull the bottle away from Cash and get Colton night time potty trained.
My Hubby: I'd like to see us spend more "alone" time together. Kids sometimes throw a wrench into intimacy.
My business: I want to grow ASIL Design and start treating my business like a serious business and not a hobby.
My Weight: I've got just under 2 months left of my weight loss program before I go into maintenance for 6 months. This is with Lisa and PWLC. I'd like to loose another 10 lbs. or so, get down to 25% body fat, up that muscle and maintain it. I really like food so that will be hard & something I need to focus on. I also like the idea of inspiring people to get healthy and would love to find a way to channel that.
My Running: I'm planning on running a 1/2 marathon in early May. I want to PR with my running partner Cheryl and then we will make our next runninggoal after that.

As I go into this next year and into the unknown, I walk into it with a huge smile and a "bring it on" attitude - this will be MY year!

Happy New Year and stay tuned...
